The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God;
to give Him our worship and to receive His blessing and direction.
Each of these are special and necessary times of spiritual refreshment.
To help you experience these blessings, we offer
Contemporary Worship Services Sunday’s at 9 & 11 a.m.

Nothing
compares to the joy of Christian friendship.
Such friendship was a key ingredient for the success of
the early church (Acts 2:42), and the same is true today.
That's why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between
the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine
commitment to one another. Best of all, this circle of
care is ever-widening. We'd love for it to include you,
too!

To us
, studying the Bible is vital because we know it to be God's
written revelation of His will for each and every individual.
The Word of God is alive and relevant to life today; it is a
moral and spiritual guide to help us succeed on the journey
of life - and after. As such, we devote ourselves to knowing
and applying the Bible. We offer awesome Sunday School classes
for all ages at 11 a.m. On Wednesdays, we take and in-depth look at
100 Essential Bible Passages.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1963 called Sunday morning
"the most segregated hour in America."
We're working hard to change that.
God does not judge a man based on his color, nor do we.
In fact, we embrace the diversity of culture that makes this
nation the beautiful melting pot it is.

When
Jesus commanded His disciples to "Go ye therefore into all
the nations..."
we took Him serious! In just the past two years we have
sent missionary teams or have financially supported missionaries
in 11 countries. And while we're dedicated to this cause,
we also realize that America is the worlds third largest mission
field. As such, our greatest missionary efforts focus on
the 4.2 million people in Virginia who will not attend a church
service this Sunday morning. Indeed, the harvest truly is
plentiful...

Just
as Jesus Christ came "not to be ministered unto, but to
minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in
service to others. This applies to both within the church
family and outside the fellowship. How do we do this?
The answer is in the vision God has given the King George Church
of God "To build disciples and rebuild lives through the
grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit." We look forward
to serving you, and we look forward to meeting you soon! |
